Sunday, November 7th, Troop 221 demonstrated orienteering. The weather was fantastic as we trekked through Oak Point Park & Nature Preserve for a 1 mile course. The scouts learned how to find & follow a heading on a compass. They also learned how to figure their personal pace and use it to calculate length & height. The scouts had an added opportunity, due to Veterans Day, to witness a large array of American flags set up for our fallen American heroes. It was great to see these young men show their respect & reverence.
