This is a strenuous hike, but last year the boys did fine. Adults will be challenged, and if not in good physical condition, you should sit this one out. Adults are encouraged to bring lightweight hiking poles, all adults brought them and used them last year. Remember, the best way to train and be prepared for a hike is by HIKING. Put on your backpack with some weight and use a treadmill, walk the neighborhood; do not attempt to do this without some training. Reference the email I sent earlier about Cedar Ridge this weekend, and sign up!
