April Campout Registration is open

Registration is open for our April 22nd – 24th climbing campout at the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge in Oklahoma.  https://www.fws.gov/refuge/wichita-mountains-wildlife/about-us

Scouts of all ages are encouraged to participate in Climbing, which is $65.  The Troop will cover the additional $20 fee for those who choose to earn the Climbing Merit Badge.  While we want all boys to participate, we understand some may have reservations about climbing.  Please reach out to me before you decide to skip due to climbing anxiety.

The refuge is beautiful, and a worthwhile trip even if climbing is not your thing.  Per the instructor, it is typical for some boys to watch others climb before they gather enough courage to do it.  However, no one will be forced or pressured to climb if they don’t want to.
