Buffalo River Canoe Trip

Our annual Buffalo River Canoe Trip (BRCT) is an incredible experience, it’s one of the things that makes our troop unique. Most Eagle Scout candidates, at their Eagle BOR, mention BRCT as one of their favorite troop experiences! I’m really excited that it’s around the bend and even more so for those of you that will experience it for the 1st time.
In order to attend the BRCT, you must be a 2nd Class Scout, pass the BSA swimmer test, earn the Swimming Merit Badge and Canoeing Merit Badge and attend and “pass” the canoe shakedown campout held in early May. Since this is a high adventure trip (> 72 hours), we also need a valid A,B & C medical form for all attendees (this means a doctor signed physical within the last 12 months). We will review the overall requirements well in advance at our BRCT planning meeting.
We always need plenty of adults to serve as drivers so don’t be shy about signing up to participate. This trip is amazingly fun and relaxing and not to be missed!
