Conservation Service Project

Where: Jeremiah Community Garden
The garden is located at the rear of West Plano Presbyterian Church, 2709 Custer Road, Plano 75075
Date\Time: Saturday, October 14th 8:30-11:30 a.m.
This is a great opportunity for any scouts needing to fulfill conservation service hours where you will be assisting with winterizing the preparation of the garden plots by:
– weeding, hoeing and/or raking
– moving mulch using wheelbarrows from mulch pile to the plots to winterize
There will be adults there from the garden who will direct work and till between the weeding and the mulch preparation.
Things to bring with you:
- Scout spirit!!
- Scouts should dress for outdoor AND the weather
- Sturdy shoes
- Dress for the weather
- Nalgene bottle with water
- Gloves
- A hoe, rake, or other garden hand tools, if you have any
