May Campout – Canoe Shakedown

Registration is open for our May 12tth-14th Canoeing Shakedown Campout. We are headed to Camp Constantin at Possum Kingdom, a 2 1/2 to 3 hour drive due west. If you plan to attend the Buffalo River Canoe Trip, this campout is required. The Canoeing Merit Badge will be completed for those without it, and then you will get in canoes and apply what you’ve learned.
If you did not complete the swim test last Friday, you will need to do that before the campout. Please contact a Plano Recreation Center, or some other organization that offers the BSA Swim Test.
We have a fun tradition of playing “King of the Dock” once canoeing is over. King of the Dock involves boys safely tossing eachother into the water. This is highly supervised and the boys have a blast participating in this.
