Work Day – Big Chucky Ranch

Attire: Work clothes…long pants, long sleeve shirt, gloves, boots or tennis shoes, hat
Bring your Nalgene! Water and snacks will be provided.
Each year we spend the better part of a Saturday clearing and cleaning up the campsite at Big Chucky Ranch for upcoming campouts. If you plan to carpool or caravan as a group, we will meet at My Possibilities at 7:30AM and try to head out by 7:45 or you can drive separately and meet us there. The property is 69 miles away, and takes about one hour and 10 minutes to get there. Work will consist of clearing vegetative debris, cutting trees, widening trails and so forth. Many tools will be at the property, but the following tools would be helpful to bring;
– Chainsaw: Including long one for tall branches
– Loppers: for saplings and shrubs
– Rake
If you choose to meet there, coming down FM 513 off I-30 is the best way to come.
