DATES HAVE CHANGED! Leave Wednesday 5/31 at 6PM – Return Sunday 6/5 around 6PM. Memorial weekend was a bad idea, and we just overlooked this at the Planning Lock in.
We will begin buying passes for this trip next week, so register by April 4th or risk not attending! Some of these stops fill up early, so don’t delay signing up.
We will leave around 6 on Tuesday, May 31st and camp just over halfway, before continuing on our way to our first campsite in New Mexico. This is the short list of activities, and more information to come later.
Carlsbad, New Mexico – Explore caves and experience an evening bat flight.
Guadalupe Peak – Older boys will climb the highest peak in Texas, while younger boys explore a nearby canyon.
Fort Davis and McDonald Observatory – Experience the edge of BIg Bend country and attend a Star Party at the Observatory.
Balmorhea State Park – Visit the worlds largest spring fed swimming pool.
Monahans State Park – Nothing like having sand in your pants on the final leg home!
