May Campout Registration- West Texas May 27th – June 1st

There is still much planning left to do for our May Campout to West Texas, but a big part of planning for this event is determined by attendance numbers. We need everyone to register now, so we can start making reservations.

We will leave around 6 on Friday, May 27th.  PISD is out at noon that day, Allen and McKinney out a week before that.  We come back on Wednesday, June 1st.  More details to follow, but here is the short list of stops.

Carlsbad, New Mexico – Explore caves and experience an evening bat flight.

Guadalupe Peak – Older boys will climb the highest peak in Texas, while younger boys explore a nearby canyon.

Fort Davis and McDonald Observatory – Experience the edge of BIg Bend country and attend a Star Party at the Observatory.

Balmorhea State Park – Visit the worlds largest spring fed swimming pool.

Monahans State Park – Nothing like having sand in your pants on the final leg home!
