Troop 221 collaborated with Troop 25, Troop 21 and Pack 25 in a fundraiser that helped offset the costs of summer camp. Troop 25, Troop 21, and Pack 25 sold and delivered the mulch, and Troop 221 spread it for those who purchased the service. This was the second time Troop 221 collaborated on this fundraiser with other troops and packs, and 100% of what we collected went into the passbook accounts of the boys who participated!
We split into 5 crews with 13 adults and 23 scouts attending. It took us around 6 hours (216 manhours) to spread a total of 1590 bags at 71 different houses in Plano, Allen, and Frisco. That is over 22 bags per stop and nearly 7 1/2 bags per person per hour! It wasn’t easy, but the hard work paid off. We raised over $3500 to help offset the cost of summer camp!
